eZ Platform offers a full text search functionality that lets you find t= he Content item you want, wherever it is in the repository.

As of v1.4 full text search is offered only as a prototype, that is it i= s not packaged by default, but must be enabled separately by adding a speci= fic bundle to your installation.

You can access search from the discovery bar by clicking Search<= /strong> on the left when in view mode. Just enter your search term and you= will see a list of results.

The Universal Discovery Widget is used when you need to select a Content= item from the repository. To do this, you can simply browse the Content tr= ee, but you can also use search.

When in the UDW, access the search functionality by clicking the Search tab.

You will see the results of your search in a table below and will be abl= e to choose your Content item from them.
