The Content mode allows creating, modifying and publishing Content items.

Content mode is one of the work modes available in eZ Platform.
This mode is an interface for the repository, that is the place in which= eZ stores all the content of your website.

The Navigation hub is common for the whole eZ interface. It allows you t= o jump to other work modes and to access administrator options.
The lower row of the Navigation hub lets you switch between viewing the = Content structure and the Media library.

The Discovery bar is located on the left side of the window. It lets you= navigate through your content structure:

The Action bar is located on the right side of the window. It allows you= to conduct operations on the current Content item. The bar has different o= ptions depending on the mode you are in:

The main area shows you information about the current Content item in a = number of tabs.
The View tab shows you the details of information contained in the Field= s of the current Content item.
This is the only tab available in Edit mode where you can modify the dat= a in the fields.

The View tab only presents the data inside Fields, not what they wi= ll look like to the visitor. To preview the Content item in the exact way i= t will look in the website, you need to go to Edit mode and click P= review in the Action bar.
The Details tab contains general information about the Content item:

This section allows you to decide how the sub-items (children) of this C= ontent item will be sorted. You have the following criteria available:
Priority can be set in the Sub-items section below.

The Versions tab lists all versions of the current Content item. It incl= udes archived and published versions, as well as drafts, in all languages. = In this tab you can view any version, edit an existing draft, delete versio= ns or create a new draft from an existing version.
All the existing versions are divided into: Drafts under edit, Published= versions and Archived versions. For each version the following information= is given:
The Locations tab lists all Locations to which the Content item is assig= ned. One of them is selected as the main Location.

If you hide a Location, all of its Sub-items will be hidden as well= (with a status of "Hidden by superior" displayed in this table).
Click Add location and select a node in the Universal D= iscovery Widget to assign the Content item to a new Location.
You can also check the box to the left of any Location(s) and click

In the Locations tab you can also swap the Locations of two Content item= s.
To do this, click Select Content Item under Con= tent Location Swap and chose the target Location. The current Cont= ent item will move to that Location, while the Content item that had been i= n the chosen Location will move to the current one.
This tab lists all other content related to the current Content item.
Relations between Content items can be created explicitly using a Conten= t relation(s) Field, by embedding another Content item or by including a li= nk to the Content item in an XML Field.
At the bottom of each tab is a Sub-items table with a list of all childr= en of the current Content item (that is, the Content items that are located= under the current one in the tree).
For each sub-item the following information is given:
Changing sub-item priority
When sorting by Priority is selected in the Sub-items default ordering s= ection of the Details tab, children of the current Content item will be ord= ered according to the Priority that is set here. You can modify Priority by= clicking the column and typing in a value, then confirming with Enter of c= licking the check button.

You can switch the view of sub-items between list and grid view by click= ing the buttons in the top right corner of the table:
List view is a table with details of each sub-item. Grid view visually r= epresents each sub-item either by its thumbnail or by an icon that lets you= quickly identify the Content Type.
